"The dead speak to us.  This is not new.  For centuries Spiritualists have maintained they had contact with the dead.  However, scientific disciplines were rarely imposed.  But now the dead no longer need a human intermediary.  They use tape recorders or even TV sets.  What is more objective than a machine?"  T. Laurent, American Assoc. for EVP.

I have been extremely interested in the phenomenon of EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) since 1998, when I dedicated myself to this paranormal aspect, specifically. I am currently a proud member of the American Association for Electronic Voice Phenomena. I have also had the honor of presenting an EVP seminar in the Fall of 2000 for the New Jersey Ghost Hunter's Society, in Vermont. There, I disclosed my methods and advice for obtaining voice recordings.

Since 1998, I have had the opportunity to obtain some of the clearest EVP voices ever recorded. You will note that these voices, posted in the EVP gallery, are of the old and young alike, some male and female, some in English and others, not. I continue to work in this fascinating field of research, combining the use of ghost related tools, and PC programs, to better understand the recordings of these mystifying voices.   We are not certain, at this point, if the voices we record are meant as a direct communication to ourselves, or the possibility that we are recording the sounds of  time overlapping time (dimensional), in places.  I feel certain in stating that in the
Spangler's Names recording, I asked a direct question of the spirits, and received a VERY DIRECT answer. Please note the different voices and the very significant voice of General George Pickett, stating his name, in this recording made at the Spangler's Springs section of Gettysburg, Pa. This recording may very well be a "breakthrough" in the field of EVP research, and it is posted on many websites with my permission. I have had the very rewarding opportunity to correspond with the great, great granddaughter of General George Pickett, who was delighted to hear her grandfather.

I currently use 2 audio recorders, a Panasonic RR-DR60 and a new Radio Shack 125 min. model # 14-1195.  Along side the recorders I place a Sperry 200A EMF detector.

While visually witnessing the Panasonic model recording, on 9-11-00, I was able to substantiate the EVP phenomenon, by recording an EMF reading within the low range indicating spirit presence (4.6 milligauss). This recording was obtained at Ringwood Manor Cemetery, and consists of many men's voices speaking over one another. I personally choose to stay with and witness the equipment to further validate the recordings. By doing so, I can verbally indicate an explainable sound as an airplane, car, passerby, bird, etc. as opposed to an EVP recording. The Panasonic model, being older and one of the first digital models, does have the tendency to pick up and record digital static, sounding as "growls". This newer Radio Shack model seems relatively static-free.  Having the Radio Shack model for only a short period of time, I am anxious to get "out in the field" with them, side by side, and see how it performs.

On this page, I plan to continue with this research, and promise to share with the paranormal researchers who care to follow this section, the very latest in my attempts, research, and newest recordings. Please check back often.
